Notable Software: Week of 5/30 – 6/5

May 31st, 2010 -

There really isn’t anything for me personally to write about this week; well, besides Robocalypse: Beaver Defense of course! So this week’s Notable’s will be short… I know, you’re sad.

Xbox 360/PlayStation 3/PC-
Alpha Protocol hits this week and I have nothing to say about it. It’s a new game from Obsidian Entertainment and is being published by Sega, but seriously I know nothing of this game. I’ve heard no hype or praise from anyone I know about it, nor has the internet yielded any news for me to look at. THIS is what I got when I searched for this game on Google. In all seriousness, this is a new Action RPG that follows the story of one Michael Thorton, who is some sort of field agent of the US Government. Which agency? Don’t ask me, I don’t know. After he blows some big mission, he gets black listed like that guy from Burn Notice (great show by the way). Michael utilizes the “alpha protocol” to seek his answers and to face the one(s)(?) that betrayed him.

Herp Derp, you get to make decisions in a new action/stealth game. One more game genre to have RPG added to – thank you Sega.

-PC-
Another Sims 3 expansion is out, and with that 40 more moneys are taken forcefully from you by Maxis. Apparently you can have Ambitions in this one… Okay? I don’t get it. Couldn’t the Sims already work jobs? Are these some sort of special jobs? Will there in fact be a pedophile job class like the one I joked about on the podcast (let’s hope not)? Let us know how Ambitioning your Sim people goes when the game drops tomorrow (6/1).
-Wii/DS-
What is there to say? It’s Tetris! Go buy it right now! It’s even got online multi-player. What the hell are you still reading this for? GO BUY IT!
