VGM is Prisoner – Time for a Jailbreak

June 9th, 2014 -

E3 starts in under an hour, but there is something more important than that going on right now, and it affects games that will be at E3. There really isn’t much to say here that Austin Wintory doesn’t say in the video. The creation of video game music right now is not being allowed, and that has essentially stripped many people of their jobs. Wintory is charged with a $50,000 fine for composing the music in the kickstarted game The Banner Saga – can you imagine that? You’re doing your job, your dream job, and are charged a huge fine for performing your tasks. Spread the word and show the American Federation of Musicians that this is NOT right, and support the games you love. Not just for you, but everyone that enjoys them.
