Dragon Fin Soup: Back the Slack

May 11th, 2014 -

Dragon Fin Soup is an upcoming console RPG in the vein of the SNES era with tactical action, roguelike elements, and a twist on common fairytales. As noted in a video, they have no interest in making a game that is freemium, or a typical “you must save your village” type of storyline. This is going to be something they want to play, and their taste in games is top notch. Don’t believe me? Watch the video from their very successful Kickstarter here. Also, if that mention of fairytales piqued your interest, here’s a taste: Red Robin is a raging alcoholic hellbent on revenge. Good? Good.

As you may have noticed, I mentioned it had a Kickstarter. HAD. No longer does it have one. All those little bonuses you could’ve gotten? Gone. Never again can you get those. You’ve squandered the opportunity to get some AMAZING, ONCE IN A LIFETI…

What? …sorry, what? Are you serious?

It appears you can now back the game once again, though not through Kickstarter. You can become a Slacker Backer of the game, with all the previous tiers (minus the $10,000 tier and the early bird tiers – because you’re a SLACKER). However, like Kickstarter, this doesn’t last forever. This isn’t a PayPal type of deal that campaigns will do that allow you to donate up until release. This is a very limited run, so make sure you get in on this wonderful looking game before it’s too late. Again.

Dragon Fin Soup is going to be available on PS4, PS3, Vita, and Steam (PC, Mac, Linux). You can become a Slacker Backer here, as well as find out more about the game visiting the page’s various links. Below is a developer commentary video of the game in alpha. Check it out to see how it’s coming along.
